

The VF175 VMAX Super High Output four-stroke outboard is lighter, faster and smarter than any other outboard in its class. This exceptional piece of machinery has been purpose built to meet the needs of the high performance and competition market, and is ideally suited to smaller bass boats, flats boats, skit boats, bay boats and other performance hulls. This powerful 2.8 litre, 16-valve double-overhead cam engine utilises variable camshaft timing and electronic fuel injection, to deliver an exhilarating hole shot and top-end speed, while producing an incredibly efficient, clean and quiet performance. The VF175 VMAX comes with the option of a long and extra long shaft length and includes variable trolling to achieve that perfect lure presentation. For competition winning performance, don't go past the VF175 VMAX.

2800cc Four-Cylinder Engine
The 16 valve, 2.8 litre, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) layout with its increased cylinder capacity and large valves, results in optimum valve actuation, resulting in improved valve timing, acceleration and overall running performance.
Digital Network Gauges
This engine is compatible with Yamaha's Digital Network Gauges, including the top-of-the-line Command Link Plus system, giving you the information needed to maximise engine performance and efficiency. This engine is also NMEA2000 compatible with third party multi-function displays, GPS and fish finders.
Direct Ignition
The direct ignition system, with plug cap and ignition coil, provides higher reliability and increased performance.
Electronic Throttle Valve
The electronic throttle valve provides sure and more precise valve opening and closing according to each engine temperature and atmospheric condition. This system works in tune with the fuel injection and ignition systems, to deliver incredible response and exceptional fuel economy.
High Output Alternator
This alternator delivers more power: 50 amps at wide open throttle, producing a full 22 amps at only 600 rpm which means there is sufficient output to keep charging the battery even at low RPM.
Offset Crankshaft
The crankshaft design is offset 10mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.
Variable Camshaft Timing
The Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) advances and retards the camshaft timing according to the engine RPMs. This in combination with the electronically controlled single throttle valve system and long intake manifold boosts low and mid-range torque for optimum acceleration.
Variable Trolling Control
Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 650 to 900 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.

With its stylish chrome finish and ergonomic design, this mechanical control not only looks good, but provides effortless one-hand operation. The trim and tilt switch is comfortably located on the handle and features easily accessible neutral warm-up controls and externally adjustable throttle friction.
704 Premium Single Binnacle Control
This highly-polished, stylish looking, top mounted control allows for effortless one-handed control. The ergonomic design features a thumb operated trim and tilt switch built into the handle, as well as shift and throttle control functions, for convenient and comfortable operation.
